Icha Icha
Icha Icha is a restaurant serving quick, healthy food with asian influences. The restaurant in Mall of Scandinavia is the third restaurant of the chain, so the interior is partly a development from existing design-dna.
The goal was to create a warm and welcoming ambiance, where you can feel calm and would like to sit down for a while – even in such an intensive environment as a mega-mall, and even if the food that is served is fast.
We tried to achieve this by using a lot of natural materials, and to divide the space into different rooms, using wooden screens and a variety of seating heights.
Like the food, the design solutions have a distinctly asian flavour.
The walls are given life and character by a custom-made illustrated wallpaper, by the talented Emma Sjöberg-Snell. (Long time collaboration partner, and sister)
